PAN is the sound of something popping and exciting about to begin, a prefix of Panorama, meaning “a view as far as the eye can see,” and an acronym for Pan-Asian Network, meaning a new network center that creates diverse interpretations of the Asian region, It is a symbolic name with various interpretations.

While engaging in dialogue with cultural institutions and movements that emerged in East and Southeast Asia after the Corona disaster as “third active entities,” we aim to create a new Asian context together with contemporary practices as a unique private institution that is neither a museum nor a gallery.

“PAN Okinawa” will hold exhibitions of international standard based on curatorial and professional expertise with the aim of creating opportunities for a wide range of people to become familiar with contemporary art. It also aims to contribute to the future culture and arts of Okinawa and Asia.

While considering various projects such as events open to the community and learning programs that rethink the humanities in times of crisis, our goal is to conduct sustainable management with consideration for the environment.
